On 19th January, 2006, Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training organized 2006 Exam and Admission Meeting on EduNet and television networks in Hanoi, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho. In the meeting, the Ministry decided to cancel the regulation of awarding marks in university entrance exam for excellent-graduated high school students.

 The Culture and Cooperation Centre - France Embassy in Viet Nam will hold examinations to get the DELF diploma (Diplôme d'études en langue française)on 19th, 26th and 27th November in Ha Noi, Da Nang,Hue, Nha Trang, Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City. This is an official diploma that evaluates the level of French as a foreign language – certificates are issued by The Minister of Education of Republic of France.

Last September the website for Vietnamese students studying in United States, www.vietabroader.org, held an essay writing contest for all Vietnamese students from the age of 15 to 20. The competition attracted a large number of participants with lots of superb and high-quality essays. Especially, 2 students from Hanoi Amsterdam High School achieved the highest prizes in the competition: Nguyen Viet Anh A2 03-06 and Bui Dieu Linh CE 03-06.
