The Award ceremony of “Designing the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School” contest.
After five months of preparation and implementation, the contest of designing the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School the contest of designing the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School was ended with the Award ceremony in the morning of February 21, 2005. The contest is an important activity starting the project “Designing and building the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School”. Hanoi Amsterdam Student Organization (HAO) proposed this project and coordinated with the school’s managing board in organizing and implementing it. Right on the beginning days of the contest, it received great attention, especially from students, and also passionate response from them. The backgrounds of contestants are diverse. Not only students and graduate students of the school enthusiastically took part in the contest, but also a lot of young designers, home and abroad students did. Until the deadline (December 12, 2005), the organization department received twenty-seven designs from individuals as well as organizations. After the primary examination level, they chose the best fifteen for the second round. The judges included prestigious architects from Hanoi Architectural College and Vietnam Architects Association. In the middle of February 2005, the judges gave the last result of the contest after a long time working on the designs with passion and the sense of fairness. At 8:00 AM of February 21, 2005, the Award ceremony of “Designing the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School” contest was held solemnly at the Monday flag salute. The school’s managing board, Hanoi Amsterdam student organization (HAO), and a lot of the school’s students attended the ceremony. After the salute and the speech summarizing the contest of Mr. Truong Van Ban – vice principal, they gave the two highest prizes to the two contestants. Mr. Do Ba Khoi – another vice principal - gave the campaign medals with the second prize valued two million VND to two contestants Le Hong Minh and Tran Ngoc Hieu. Mr. Do Lenh Dien – principal – gave the medal and the first prize valued five million VND to contestant Pham Quang Ngoc.
The “Designing the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School” contest was ended happily, bringing us the belief in the success the “Designing and building the gate of Hanoi – Amsterdam High School” project. We hope a new gate is a meaningful gift for the 20th birthday of the school (at the end of this year) from HAO because it is the hallmark of this organization’ contribution.
- The first prize belongs to Pham Quang Ngoc – Hanoi Architectural College. - The second prizes belong to Le Hoang Minh and Tran Ngoc Hieu – Number 10, team 10 Ngoc Ha Street, Hanoi. - The third prize belongs to Nguyen Sinh Vu, KT class of 25, University of Hue.
