Vietnamese youth wins international conservation award
A project to preserve needles trees in the Central Highlands City of Da Lat has been awarded by the BP Conservation Programme.
The project, carried by Tran Thi Thu Trang, was among 28 awarded projects selected from 400 conservation projects around the world.
Ms Trang, now 25 years old, was born in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang. After graduating from the College of Natural Sciences under the HCM City National University in the biology faculty, she has been working at the HCM City Institute of Tropical Biology.
In June, she will go to the UK to receive the award and take part in a training course on conservation.
