Zzang Tran - an Internet addict!!!
Zzang Tran - an Internet addict
A lot of HAO members are striken by Zzang Tran, an intriguingly unique yet very cute name, especially when it appears quite frequently on Ams cyber world. Ladies and gentlemen, this name belongs to Tran Huong Giang, A1, class of '05.
"A confident girl with a strong personality" was my very first impression of Zzang when we first met in a HAO moderators' meeting. Zzang's mature ways of talking and responding to my questions triggered my curiosity about her. Thus, we had another conversation in a famous coffeeshop near Ams.
"Extremely involved and very enthusiastic in working for HAO" is what people think of Zzang. This is not some arbitrary evaluation, but a truthful one. As the moderator of the 02-05 board on HAO's forum, Zzang is indeed commited to a very challenging and time-consuming position with tons of responsibilities. The main problem in Zzang's board is an epidemic of chit-chattings. There is enough trouble for Zzang since most of the board's frequent visitors are about her age, leading to a lack of variety in topics and seriousness in the posts. None can moderate such a board without a courage like that of Zzang's. Despite this all , Zz, the nick name people had given her, managed to improve the board's environment significantly. The 02-05 board can be considered the most visited and most lively board of the Academics Hall. Zz's own topic, "Anh1 ui", is also the topic with the most replies in HAO.
Not limiting her potential there, Zz joined the News Group. Working in the News Group requires Zz to always have an up-to-date version of the situations and stories, and to be able to select the "hot" topics appropriate for the news pages. These are not simple tasks, especially for a 11th grader like Zzang. But she has managed all the hard work and become an important member of the News Group.
So, are there any difficulties she has to face? Like many others, Zz dedicates her invaluable sleeping hours to the Internet. She confides, "Every night, I have to wait till my parents go to bed, then I cover my loud modem with blankets, and stick my eyes to the net straight through the night. That's not all. As my net fund is monthly limited, I have to ask for 'pirated' net accounts. The unavoidable consequence was people calling me at home. Somehow I got through. It was real close!" Being on the net so often and being so commited and creative in her works, Zz has contributed greatly to the development of HAO.
In her non-cyber life, our Zzang is a very humorous and friendly person. Her mature and funny ways of talking always attract people. I was really taken away by her stories, which are simple yet extremely interesting. Zz told me that there were times when she was very tired. Spending the days in schools and the nights in online forums really wears her out. But since Zzang is an Internet addict, this has become her normal and enjoyable schedule.
I asked Zz if HAO was the only site she works for. She told me that because she was so used to the pretty layout of HAO's website, she could not find any other sites that attractive. Furthermore, members' names on HAO are real, thus Zz feels comfortable in such an environment. Besides, she mentioned, working for HAO is like working for herself. "At this moment I feel so attached to HAO. When I graduate from this school, I will miss my friends dearly. Visiting HAO will help me maintain my growing connection with Ams."
Indeed, Zz's personal thoughts really match those of mine and many others'. It could be said that the strength Hanoi-Ams network has gained owes a lot to people like Tran Huong Giang.
